Cottage House on Park is a personal restoration project centered around a 1927 Dutch Colonial home in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
Situated in a quiet lakeside neighborhood, the project serves as both a home and a creative outlet, documenting the process of preserving historic character while thoughtfully adapting the space for modern living.
The visual identity was designed to feel timeless, collected, and rooted in place. Inspired by traditional hospitality marks, lake-town heritage, and vintage property seals, the system balances classic craftsmanship with a contemporary sensibility. A custom monogram serves as the centerpiece of the identity, paired with a circular emblem that references both historic home insignias and destination branding. The palette draws from the home's architectural details and surrounding landscape, combining warm neutrals with a bold cobalt blue that evokes both tradition and optimism.
